Clothing

So many of our children and families arrive on campus with all their possessions packed into a grocery sack. Their need for additional clothing, furniture, dishes, appliances, bedding, and toys is great. We can benefit from any item that does not need repair and can be assigned a resale value.

Good, clean, and usable clothing for all sizes (infant through adult, male and female) is always in demand. An individual's sense of self-worth and dignity is restored when they are able to provide a wardrobe for themselves and, in our mothers' cases, their children.

We encourage families to clean out their closets of clothing no longer needed. Convenience is a key word in the success of this program for Medina Children's Home. Two trucks, with 32-foot enclosed trailers, travel across the state to scheduled appointments with churches and individuals each week. These trucks run established routes that crisscross your area approximately every eight weeks. We also have donation receptacles in over 200 cities in Texas. Any items we cannot use are delivered to one of our Thrift Stores, where we benefit from the profits of that sale. These Thrift Stores have a pick-up service in the San Antonio and Dallas areas.
